CALENDAR AND PRICES
2008 All
treks and holidays meet the evening before the walking begins. We meet in a
hotel, where accommodation is costed on double occupancy of rooms. Single rooms,
where available, incur a single supplement.
All trek and holiday prices include (unless otherwise stated): guiding services,
the guide's expenses, bed, breakfast and evening meal from the meeting evening
to the morning of the day after the end of the trek, any planned cable cars and
valley transport during the trek/holiday.
Not included in the trek price are: lunch foods, drinks and any unplanned
transport during the trek.
Important information
regarding prices:
We reserve the right to ask for payment in Euros if the £ should decline against
the €. For payments from the USA please pay the Euros or sterling price by
bank transfer - bank details supplied on request.

WINTER
2008
Snowshoeing
is a great success each year. This year there are 4-day long weekends and 6-day
weeks. For more specific details on any of these trips, just click on the
relevant location name you are interested in below. A snowshoe holiday cost
includes guided snowshoeing, accommodation (bed, breakfast and dinner), transport during the holiday,
rental of snowshoes, poles and avalanche safety equipment (transceivers, poles and shovels).
The holidays
are loosely graded as follows (the more smiley faces the more energetic the trip
will be!):
Suitable for beginners and people who are looking for some good walking, but
who maybe have not had time to train too hard
 Suitable for people who have done some snowshoeing
before and/or who walk fairly regularly and are keen to get some vigorous
excercise
 Designates a trip for those dynamic souls who love snowshoeing and/or
hill-walking and who are looking for a blast!!
Please note that these
gradings depend on on weather conditions,
energy levels and other variables!
All
holidays are open to people who have never snowshoed before 6 day holidays
Meet
Saturday evening where indicated on the dates shown. 6 days snowshoeing including at least one overnight in the
mountains.

who is reasonably fit and active and used to regular aerobic exercise
Holidays
a
little more demanding, either in number of days or in terrain covered
The
hardest offered, usually because of the terrain or because they include a
glaciated peak, but with some training beforehand they shouldn’t pose a
problem for most people, especially regular hill walkers.
NB
Some treks now include the ascent of a glaciated mountain. This peak climb is
generally not any harder than the rest of the trek, but it will involve using
crampons and walking on glaciers. NO previous experience is necessary. The
inclusion of these peaks in some treks gives people a chance to do a high
mountain without having to hire a UIAGM Guide separately to do this.
Spring
Both the Corsica spring
trek and the Provence Hotel Holiday have been very popular over the last few
years.
